DJ Carmine
The award-winning DJ Carmine (formerly known as DJ Amir) first took on the turntables in 2008, but he hasn’t let his lack of years deter his success. In 2010, he dominated much of the Capital City DJ Olympics contest in Lansing, Michigan, earning a gold medal in the “scratch appeal” category, bronze medal in “mixology,” and a bronze in the overall final standings. In March 2011, Carmine made his debut as the DJ for Michigan Made, the Unofficial South By Southwest showcase for some of the state’s most promising new hip-hop acts. As one of the BLAT! Pack’s official DJ’s, Carmine combines his technical know-how with an impeccable ear for hip-hop, funk, soul and house music to keep clubs and venues around the region moving all night, every night.
